The Clients must check that the cleaning process and detergents used do not damage

DO’S AND DONT’S

STORE SAFELY

Minimize the storage time to reduce the possibility of damage. Store away from materials that may damage the sheets. Stack the roofing sheets on wooden padding in a sloping position so that the water can drain away easily. If the number of sheets is less, place them inclined to a wall. Cover the roofing sheets with a water-resistant sheet and ensure sufficient airflow around them.

APPROPRIATE TOOLS FOR CUTTING

Always use appropriate tools such as nibblers and scissors for cutting the sheets. Don’t use marble cutter as it can lead to the exposure of base metal and subsequent discolouration. Apply paint/zinc spray after cutting.

IDEAL PURLIN SPACE

While laying the roofing sheets, maintain sufficient purlin space for better roofing. The required purlin space for Eurotile is 50 cm, and Espana is 60 cm.

RIGHT ANGLE

Proper roof slope with right angle is what makes the roof perfect. The angle of the roof slope should be from 35 to 45 degree. It will help avoid the possibility of clogs on the roof due to fallen leaves during monsoon.

OVERLAP PROPERLY

Overlapping of Tile Roofing Sheets is an important part of the roofing. When you lay tile roofing sheets, you must overlap the sheet over the tail end of the previous sheet.

FIX PERFECTLY

Use self-drilling fasteners to fix the roofing sheets perfectly. Apply self-drilling fasteners on the ribs of the roofing sheet and not in the valley where water flows. And it’s necessary to apply silicon sealant at all the screwed areas to avoid leakage.

CLEAN AFTER LAYING

After fixing the roofing sheets using the self-drilling fasteners, brush off all the dust and debris generated as a result of drilling. If not, those dust may get corroded later, and the resulting stains will dim the colour of the sheets.

USE HIGH-QUALITY ACCESSORIES

To ensure better roofing, always use superior quality accessories. It will help the roof last longer. High-quality ridges, reverse ridges, gutter, downpipe and other supporting accessories are made available by Georoof.
